Jane Whitfield, President

Jane Whitfield has twenty years of experience in developing and implementing targeted strategic plans and working with leaders to create highly successful teams. She has extensive experience as a senior executive in the nonprofit and higher education sectors, most recently as President & CEO of the PenFed Foundation.  Prior to her work in the nonprofit sector, Jane was a nationally recognized leader in sales and marketing. With her broad professional experience, Jane has a breadth of knowledge in key functional areas including leadership development, fundraising, sales, communications, marketing, accounting, program planning, evaluation, and assessment. She is a specialist in producing integrated and comprehensive organizational strategies that clarify goals and achieve results.

Jane is a sought after speaker and panel moderator. A moving and passionate key note speaker, Jane draws on her personal and professional experiences to inspire and motivate her audiences to action. 

She has given presentations for the Philanthropy Roundtable, Philanthropy NY, Commonwealth Club of California, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, United Way of the Bay Area, the Society of Women Engineers, the National Legal Aid and Defenders Association, and many other organizations.

Jane has served as a member of the Elizabeth Dole Foundation’s Legal and Financial Advisory Council, sponsorship chair of National Philanthropy Day, advisor to MissRepresentation.org, member of the leadership council of Women's Initiative for Self Employment, and member of the advisory board for United Way of the Bay Area’s Women's Leadership Council. 

She is an experienced senior executive, a qualified Myers Briggs Type Indicator® practitioner, trained in administering the FIRO-B® assessment, and certified in mediation and conflict resolution.  Jane studied Education and Anthropology, and graduated with honors from Mills College.  In addition to her career, she loves spending time in the country and cooking for friends and family.
